Cardi B and husband Offset’s public marital drama has just reached new heights as the Migos rapper’s father has reportedly come out in defense of his son by trashing the female MC.
Among the claims he made in a lengthy rant posted in an Alpha Phi Alpha and Alpha Kappa Alpha Facebook group, Tony Pla, who is allegedly the rapper’s dad Tony Cephus, claims Cardi purposefully released a photo of her and Offset’s baby, Kulture, to thwart his plans for his solo album cover.
“Last week when Cardi posted the divorce video, I could not get any work done at work (I own my own business) as the phone calls, texts, DM’s etc. where no stop,” Cephus allegedly said in screenshots captured from the group. “She released the baby picture out of spite. It was supposed to come out in his album. She basically screwed my whole family over that vowed to release pictures to social media. My whole family is in an uproar right now and I can’t fix it. … I don’t know what to do or where to turn.”
Still, the poster, who some reports say is actually Offset’s stepfather, Michael Woodward, did not completely put the blame on Cardi, whom he called a “hot headed female that thrives off of social media attention,” for his life being flipped upside down. He said of Offset, “he has done his share of dirt.”
“The whole scenario is a tic for tat, mudslinging, situation fueled by jealousy, envy, insecurities, psychological issues, drugs, etc.” Cephus said, adding Offset “ain’t perfect, he is mine, and as a parent, I have a duty to protect him… he’s a 25-year-old with an unlimited supply of money, women chasing him.”
Offset made headlines over the weekend when he stormed the stage during his wife’s set at the Rolling Loud Festival in Los Angeles on Dec. 15. After that, Cardi posted a since-deleted video telling fans to lay off her estranged husband.
