On the Dec. 2 episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Burruss asked Marlo Hampton, Nene Leakes, and Cynthia Bailey if she should mention McKinley getting ex-girlfriend’s names tattooed on him. She also revealed McKinley had been dating another woman as recently as a month ago.
“What advice are y’all giving to Porsha with her new boo?” Burruss asked the ladies. “Me and Porsha are getting to be cool right now but when it comes to her relationship and stuff like that, I don’t feel like she and I are in a place where I can speak on it.”
The women advised against anyone saying anything. Leakes said Burruss and Williams “aren’t there yet” at this stage in their relationship and Hampton said the singer shouldn’t “say anything about the tattoo.”
Drama ensued when one of the women appeared to inform Williams about the gossip anyway, leading to Williams and Burruss to butt heads.
One fan watching the matter unfold Sunday tweeted, “I think if @Kandi had gone directly to Porsha with the tea she would’ve thought it was out of concern and coming from a good place…But her finding out u were going around talking about it I can understand why she’s upset and why she thinks you’re being messy and negative #RHOA.”
That led Burruss to explain why she wasn’t too keen on going to her co-star with her tea.
“I hear you but this was early in the summer. She & I really hadn’t talked before we started taping so I definitely didn’t feel like she would’ve wanted to hear that from me. You can’t go months without speaking & then say this is what I know about your boo… Neither way works.”
