From the outside looking in, things look extremely bright for the Los Angeles Laker shooting guard Josh Hart.
He scored a hefty $4 million contract upon entering the NBA, his team just got a major face-lift by acquiring LeBron James, plus, he has a devoted partner in his corner to constantly cheer him on.
In fact, Hart’s girlfriend Shannon Phillips, who’s of Trinidadian descent, has been one of his biggest supporters since they were college students.
Hart was a star player for Villanova University, while Phillips — a health administration and public policy major — was a standout basketball player for the University of Maryland. She first attended Rutgers University in New Jersey but later transferred after an injury.
The couple was also a big social media hit when they were in college and became quite the popular couple after posting photos together. Hart also spoke about Phillips in interviews and said they’d Facetime each other after college games.
On top of that, he’s openly praised his woman since they’ve been together and never seemed to have a problem expressing his adoration.
“When you’re no longer Superman, at least you know you got Lois Lane” wrote Phillips next to a photo of Phillips embracing him. “Can’t you tell I love her,” he wrote in another.
Reportedly, Phillips moved to Los Angeles to be with Hart when he was sent to the Lakers in 2017. There’s no word if or when they’ll get married, but one could easily say they’re both in it for the long haul.
