If you ever need an example of how to perfectly answer someone’s diss or slick comment, you can take a lesson from Winnie Harlow, who responded to an insult with class, wit and sharp edge.
On Wednesday, someone left a comment under the model’s topless photo that seemingly took a swipe at her for having white patches on her skin as a result of her vitiligo condition.
It appears the follower was trying to mask her diss under the guise of curiosity and asked Harlow a question. But the 24-year-old was fully prepared.
“Who’s the designer of the shirt?” the person asked.
“God,” Harlow replied.
At the same time, other people on the model’s page had way more positive things to say, namely those who’ve said they also have vitiligo and consider her a hero.
“I have the same condition as you but not the confidence,” one person wrote. “You’re amazing and inspiring for others.”
“This is just beautiful,” wrote someone else. “My boyfriend has the same thing. He tells me he’s ugly, but I tell him how he’s beautiful, and how he’s a walking, talking piece of art.”
Others told Harlow that her boyfriend Wiz Khalifa is a lucky man. Rumors began that the two were dating earlier this year, and recently they confirmed it by showing up to an NBA game together hand in hand.
“This beauty transcends the physical,” someone wrote about Harlow. “@whizkhalifa is no doubt a blessed man. God continue to bless you @winnieharlow, the super woman.”
