Charlamagne tha God managed to turn a tweet about a drunk night into a high night with Rihanna.
The radio host and TV personality dished on how that came to be while on “Page Six TV” Monday, Nov. 12 saying the “dope” night of ganja smoking happened in 2012 or 2013.
“I was tweeting out, ‘Yo, I’m drunk in L.A.,’ and she retweeted me and was like, ‘Yo, I want in,'” he explains. “And, so I had to go check out her page and make sure it was the verified account to make sure it was really her. And then, she pulled up to the hotel we were staying at. … It was like her, and the driver and I had like four or five people with me, and she was like, ‘Is this your squad?’ And she was like, ‘Come on.’
“And then she took us to like some hood spot in L.A.,” Charlamagne continued, noting he had originally been at the luxurious SLS in Beverly Hills. “It was like when you walk in, they close the door behind you, and she just had mad weed and mad tequila.
“I say it was a ‘hood club’ because Beanie Sigel was in there and I was like, ‘Wow!’” he added, noting it reminded him of the 1998 crime drama “Belly.”
But while Rihanna, who footed the bill for Charla to head home that night, may have been his most memorable weed smoking moment, he’s passed a blunt with “good pot smokers” like Wiz Khalifa, too. Still, Charlamagne admitted on 4/20 this past year that he had his craziest high and the experience showed him he’s not on the up and up when it comes to marijuana.
“I’m not a weed guy because I can’t find a middle ground when it comes to weed,” Charlamagne told Page Six TV. “I tried to smoke indica because they said it takes the edge off your anxiety, but it got me too into my head — so I was in this sunken place, overthinking everything, then the sativa had me way up here. I thought I was about to run around naked in L.A.”
