Reginae Carter and YFN Lucci discussed some of the issues that fans and her mother Toya Wright seem to have about their relationship.
In the Nov. 5 episode of “T.I. & Tiny: Family & Friends Hustle,” Carter briefly spoke to her boyfriend about the faults that Wright finds in their relationship. Lucci said, “Is she [Wright] happy that you dropped out of school?” Carter responded, “No, she thinks it’s because of you.” Wright, as well as fans, often insinuate that the teenager dropped out of school to be with her boyfriend.
Carter then spoke about how her mother’s family likely had not been open to Toya Wright dating her ex-husband Lil Wayne. “I bet all my family was telling her not to date … my dad. But she didn’t listen to them.”
Lucci and Carter have been receiving a bit of backlash since the beginning over their relationship. On the Oct. 15 episode of the show, Wright flat-out told her daughter that she doesn’t like the age difference and the fact that he has four kids.
