Ray J Has No Regrets About Kim K Tape: ‘It Helped Me Find the One’

It may be hard to believe but the leak of that infamous sex tape of Kim Kardashian and Ray J was 11 years ago.

While it certainly put Kardashian on the map and on the path to millions, it didn’t hurt Ray J’s career either — even though he was already famous.

Ray Says He Doesn't Regret The Sex Tape With Kim Kardashian

In a new interview with Daily Mail, Ray J spoke about the sex tape and said it’s something he has no regrets about. ”I don’t regret anything I’ve done, not even the sex tape,” he explained. “It’s shaped me into the person I am today and helped me find the one.”

“The one” Ray referred to is his wife Princess Love and because of her, he won’t speak about the tape anymore. At least not in the same way.

If you recall, the singer and reality star taunted Kim’s husband Kanye West with the song “I Hit It First,” and Ye responded in his song “Highlights.”

“The old me had a lot of different things to say,” said Ray J about his past shots at Ye. “But now when somebody asks me about the sex tape I realize I have to do better. When you’re blessed with someone who loves you, you have to do whatever you can to treat her with respect and keep her.”

Ray and Princess had their first child Melody in May of this year, and he explained that being a father has changed his approach as well.

Coincidentally, Kardashian also touched on the sex tape in a recent interview with Richardson Magazine and said it’s something she’s completely moved on from.

“Once you go through it and you have those conversations with your parents and grandparents and everyone that you’d be really embarrassed about it with, I think you get to a point where you’re like, ‘Okay, we’re dealing with this legally, and it’s time to move on.'”
