Co-host Meghan McCain of “The View” is having an impressive impact on ratings after her highly anticipated return to the daytime talk show. McCain returned last week Monday after taking some time off and she’s definitely boasting about making a comeback.
McCain, 33, stepped away from “The View” after her father Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) passed away late August at the age of 81 from a rare form of brain cancer. However, the talk show host is back in action and is gloating about the rise in viewership of the show since she’s returned.
The 33-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday and shared a screenshot of a Twitter user’s displaying “The View’s” viewer statistics since McCain has been back on the show.
“[Meghan McCain’s] return to ‘The View’ helps lead show to whopping 2.9 million total viewer,” the screenshot read.
McCain added in her caption, “Thank you to the wonderful, loyal, incredibly supportive @theviewabc audience – you sure know how to make a woman feel missed. My father would have loved this. ♥️🇺🇸.”
Fans expressed how happy they were to have the star back on the show and were in favor of McCain bragging about her return.
“I missed your face while you were gone!!! Glad your back with the ladies.”
“Megan is the ONLY reason I watch the show. Is it bad that I sometimes turn the volume down when Joy talks? Keep talking Megan, we’re listening!!!”
“Great to see you back beautiful 😊 !! You looked absolutely stunning Meghan ❤️ soo gorgeous ! and prayers to you and your family 🙏🏽 .”
“It’s because of you and know one else in the show.. I’m so glad your back!! 😊.”
“Smart. Witty. Articulate. Welcome back – you’ve been missed.”
“I’m so glad to see you back! In fact when you said ‘I missed ya bitch’ on live TV and meant it. Man it sealed the deal for me. #MMcCain2020.”
McCain recently blasted a news outlet who accused her of excessively drinking after her father’s death in order to cope.
“And there was a headline that said, ‘The View’s Meghan McCain Tearfully Opens Up About Drinking Through Her Dad’s Cancer,” McCain stated. “Screw you!”
