Shereé Whitfield’s sneak peek into what her revamped She By Shereé clothing line will look like has landed her in hot water with a producer.
John Carter of Atlanta blasted the former “Real Housewife of Atlanta” star on Instagram Monday, Oct. 15, with several posts that accuse the reality star of not paying for the creation of the promo.
Whitfield dropped a clip of the trailer for her clothing line online Monday saying, “SHE’s arrived. Visit shebysheree.com to see the full video and sign up for the official launch of the @shebysheree_ website. 👀✨click the link in the bio 🔼 Video credit: @IAmAries.”
Carter took to his own account to air out his grievances with Whitfield, and he did not hold back.
“ALERT!!! THIEF!!! @shereewhitfield,” he wrote, tagging Whitfield in the post. “YOOOO!!!! HOLD UP!!!! I DONT KNOW HOW THIS VIDEO IS BEING POSTED!!! When ain’t NOBODY been PAID!!!!!! SO THIS IS WHAT WE DOING NOW?!?!…. We need some ATTENTION or SOMETHING?!?!… Shot this project with @iamaries had my people @missmosi and @lanathestylist on hair and makeup and called up all my talent for this shoot…Went through hell shooting it and you wanna play somebody?!?!…OK.”
In the comments section, he tagged the likes of Wendy Williams, RHOA producer Andy Cohen and current RHOA cast member Nene Leakes and said, “somebody come get this THEIF!!!!!! @shereewhitfield SHE AINT PAID NOT ONE PERSON WHO WORK ON THE SHOOT.”
“This lady wants to be in the press so BAD, MAKE SURE you add THIEF TO THE HEADLINE,” he added in a separate comment.
“Be sure to add THIRSTY THIEF TO HEADLINE!!!” he also remarked.
And Carter wasn’t done. He added two other posts that showed footage from the shoot — including Whitfield, who stood under a set of lights.
“WHEN THEM HOUSWIFE CHECKS RUN OUT!!!! @bravotv What was supposed to be a 2-3 hour shoot turned into like 7 hours,” he said in the caption. “Despite that @iamaries myself and the models carried on with no complaints..This was one of the worst shoots that I have ever done!!! Haven’t paid hair makeup, camera, but have the nerve to post a part of a draft video.”
Neither creative director Jamil “Aries” Purnell nor Whitfield has spoken out on the matter publicly, but Instagram users have weighed in.
“Why don’t you hit her up privately instead of puttin her on blasted.. this coulda been your last resort.”
“That’s crazy. She always said she pays for her s— 🤔”
“Wheeew child smh.”
Carter answered the first comment by noting the shoot took place two weeks ago and that he and Whitfield had “several convos before anyone’s eyes have seen. She knows that she is posting contact that she didn’t pay for..She grown enough to know right from wrong and if she don’t, she bout yo learn.”
He also said the only thing Whitfield paid for was the clothing, which Carter said was “cheap,” and the food.
Atlanta Black Star has reached out to Whitfield for comment.
