Rihanna Says She Feels ‘Attacked’ By Fans Begging for New Music

The Rihanna Navy is eager to hear some new music from the Bajan performer, and the singer is all too aware of the thirst.

On Thursday, Oct. 4, Rih posted a meme on Instagram reading, “When your fans keep asking you for new music.”

The words were scrawled in a comic book font and placed over a photo of Rihanna dabbing sweat from her forehead during a Fenty Beauty event at Sephora in Singapore Tuesday, Oct. 2. A horde of excited fans flocks behind her.

“i feel attacked. ***valley girl who’s never been attacked voice*** R9 chronicles,” Rihanna captioned the post.

And fans didn’t let up in the comments section either when it came to their musical requests.

“And we ain’t gonn stop till u drop new music sis! Believe Dat 😘”

“We want new music we miss u on @billboard 😂”

“Babe they been waiting too long. It’s bout time they heard it 💜💜”

“pls save the industry sweetie, the music this year was revolting.”

“Give us a 3 song EP something gal. Just an appetizer to hold us over til you’re ready for the full course lol.”

Still, some fans urged the star to take her time crafting new material.

“Do what you want to do. Don’t listen to the noise. You can always sing sometime in the future.”

“I believe you gotta have time to make new stuff.”

“U guys gotta give her a break she working out here!”

“I can keep your old tracks on repeat they don’t age. Keep growing in these other areas love no one can do it all.”

Rihanna, who is mainly focusing on her makeup line at the moment, recently discussed the status of her follow-up to 2016’s “Anti” album.

When the star promoted the new collection from her lingerie brand Savage x Fenty in September, a fan asked when Rih’s ninth studio album will be released.

“I’m doing music,” the singer replied. “Simultaneously doing lingerie, makeup, film, amongst a couple other things that I enjoy. When the music is ready, you won’t have to ask for it. But it’s coming. Just not today sis. I’m hype too tho, it can’t come soon enough for me. #Navy4Life.”
