Kevin Gates Defends Kissing His Dog on the Mouth After Backlash from Fans

Some rappers respond to backlash after they’ve been seen cheating and kissing another woman, but Kevin Gates responded to chatter after he was seen kissing his dog.

A couple of days ago, the Baton Rouge rapper posted a video of himself giving his canine friend some affection after she delivered puppies. “You did good,” he told her. “I’m so proud of you.”

He then proceeded to kiss her full on the mouth, and the dog put her tongue in Gates mouth as well. “You got sh– all in your mouth,” he said jokingly. “You done put sh– all in my mouth.”

Afterward, a lot of people said the rapper was disgusting, and the affection that he gave his pet was just plain bizarre.

But Gates said his critics are misinformed and explained why he believes it’s safer to kiss a dog in the mouth than it is a human being. He also threw in a few insults for good measure.

“Say, bro, a n—- wanna talk about me kissing my dog, but y’all teeth is brown,” he shot back. “Y’all don’t floss in between ya’ll teeth, and y’all teeth is f—ing brown … A dog has a bacteria in his mouth that kills germs. A dog’s mouth is cleaner than a human’s mouth. You need to have a bacteria in your mouth, all that sh–  you be eating.”

Gates’ response didn’t stop the conversation surrounding the dog kissing video, but it did get him a few supporters.

“Having a complex about giving a dog a kiss definitely makes you a weirdo when over half the population does it or thinks it’s okay,” one person wrote. “Plus, how can you be any kinda man if you scared to kiss a f—-ing dog? Must be scared to kiss women too. It’s just a damn pet.”

“That’s you, famo,” someone replied. “I ain’t never did it. Don’t intend to.”

Gates’ dog post is the second time he sparked a twitter debate in the past week. Just a few days ago, he commented on Colin Kaepernick kneeling for the national anthem at NFL games and said it was wrong. That’s because he believes a man should never kneel.

“A lot of people are going to look at this f–ked up,” he said in a now deleted video. “I love Colin Kaepernick. That’s my brother. I love his beautiful queen Nessa. I love these people with all my heart. He should have never took a knee. We bow for no man under the stars but Allah. He should have stood palms up.”
