Tamar Braxton may have said last year she was retired from making new music but a new Instagram post has fans thinking she may have changed her mind.
Braxton’s newest photo sees her posing seductively on a motorcycle while wearing a headpiece. The accompanying caption read, “What’s on your #Playlist?💕”
Several fans shouted out what they had playing in their earbuds.
“‘Love and War’ – Thank u Lord!”
“Tamar Braxton is on my playlist.”
“‘Hot Sugar’ is definitely on my playlist! @tamarbraxton 💙.”
“Of course ‘Bluebird of Happiness’ has bn my go-to since it came out but now I’m on that new Bridget Kelly, H.E.R. & my son put me on Queen Naija.”
But others got excited for some new songs to be released from the performer.
“New music???”
“Yaaaws you betta be working on new material in Jesus name.”
“Hopefully a new single from you soon!!!”
“Yaaasss!!! We need u!”
“Give us new music, sis.”
Braxton hasn’t said one way or the next if she is readying some new tracks for her fans. But if she is, it would be a 180 from the announcement she made last year ahead of her divorce filing.
She told Entertainment Tonight that her fifth album “Bluebird of Happiness” would be her last ever. Instead of creating new tunes she turned her attention to focus on her marriage.
“There are a lot of things that I want to do, and a lot of things that are in the works,” she said to ET. “There’s a lot of things that are going on in my relationship and me being close to this music industry, and whatever I can do to eliminate all of the stress and problems off of my relationship, I would rather do that.”
Braxton noted that she would still write songs for other artists. And since then, she’s been making her way around the country with various performances.
