Despite T.I. Stepping Out on Tiny, Couple Reportedly Dragging Their Feet on Divorce

T.I. made headlines this week after he was caught smacking the rear end of “Greenleaf” actress Asia’h Epperson. And while his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris has made her issues with it known, the couple doesn’t seem to want to move forward with their divorce.

Despite appearing to reconcile earlier this year after Tiny filed docs to leave Tip in 2016, Bossip reported Wednesday that the couple hasn’t progressed in the split.

The website noted the pair have only requested more time for the case to be worked on this year. Two years ago, Tiny cited “irreconcilable differences” in the filing and said she didn’t anticipate getting back together with the rapper. After noting she and Tip were living separately — something that was documented on their Vh1 reality series “The Family Hustle” — she asked that T.I. account for all of their money, property and investment accounts. This because according to Tiny, she was entitled to half of it all.

Tip countersued her but the case has stalled. Then in January, reports said Tiny had her estranged husband signed a post-nuptial agreement to ensure she gets more money from him should the divorce move forward. The spouses were said to be readying a vow renewal ceremony, too.

And while things seemed fine on the Harris family front for a while, T.I. was recently spotted backstage at his Indiana concert with Epperson. The clip of him hitting her butt and smooching the star’s neck has since gone viral and Tiny expressed her disdain for his unfaithfulness online. Meanwhile, Tip’s mother has urged the couple to mitigate their issues.

The incident happened days after Tip posted a now-deleted Instagram post explaining why men don’t marry. The screenshot of an opinion piece listed one of the reasons as “there’s nothing in it for them.”

“I do agree to a degree,” the rapper said of the article. “I’ve heard it, & seen this a million times over. Note to women: Happiness needs no validation….The Ego does.”

As the drama continues to unfold, Tiny took to Instagram to thank fans for their support.

Fans responded in kind but also encouraged her to ditch T.I.

“Well Deserved..u always been a 👑Queen..”

“❤ you Tiny!!! Now leave TI sorry ass!!”

“We love you TINY 😍😍😍”

Independent journalism doesn't fund itself.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
