Jamie Foxx has been accused of hitting a woman with his penis 16 years ago, with his accuser claiming the #MeToo movement inspired her to come forward. However, the comedian says the allegations are “absurd” and totally made up.
A woman told the Las Vegas Police Department Friday that Foxx’s assault occurred back in 2002, according to a Wednesday, Jun 13 report from TMZ. At the time, the Jane Doe and her friend were at a party at the comedian’s home when he propositioned her for oral sex. When she refused, Foxx allegedly slapped her across the face with his penis.
After the incident, which the woman claims she wanted to be recorded in case other victims want to come forward, one of Foxx’s friend supposedly ordered her to leave. When she got back home to Los Angeles the next day, she visited a hospital to get treatment for a severe panic attack.
Yet since the incident happened more than a decade ago, the statute of limitations, which is three years in Nevada, has run out. Still, it is an open investigation according to LVPD sources.
However, Foxx’s attorney says her client, who disputes the accusations, isn’t sitting back and doing nothing about the claims.
“Jamie emphatically denies that this incident ever occurred, and he will be filing a report with the Las Vegas Police Department against the woman for filing a false police report against him,” Allison Hart of Lavely & Singer told TMZ. “The first time [Jamie] became aware of this woman’s absurd claims about an incident that supposedly occurred 16 years ago was when TMZ contacted his representatives [Tuesday] about this story.
“The alleged incident was not reported to law enforcement in 2002, or at any other time in the last 16 years until last Friday because the incident never happened,” she added.
As the legal process of the case plays out, Twitter users have been sounding off.
“I’m going to be mad if women now start crawling out the woodwork talking about he slapped me with it too.”
“If her face wasn’t near it she wouldn’t have got hit with it or am I missing something?”
“Lady get real this is 2018 and you just now telling it. You must be broke and need some 💰 money. Lol.”
