Loni Love has no time for haters who want to bash Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s community efforts. The comedian on Wednesday clapped back at a Twitter user who proclaimed Kim Kardashian was doing more to help prison reform than the “On the Run II” tour performers.
Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old great-grandmother was released from prison Wednesday after Kardashian met with Donald Trump to send her home.
“Look at Kim K being a freedom fighter while Beyonce taxing y’all n—as to watch her and her washed up cheating husband perform songs from 10 years ago 😂😂😂😂😂😂,” Twitter user @Felz_ said.

“Bey and Jay have paid bail for alot [sic] of folks fighting for the rights of all Americans,” Love responded June 6. “They are also producing a lot of documentaries about injustices in the system … let’s not compare apples and oranges.”

While Beyoncé has used music by taking on police brutality against Black people in her “Formation” video, Jay has prominently spoken out about prison reform, producing “Time: the Kalief Browder Story” in 2016. And earlier this year, his Roc Nation entertainment company partnered with the app Promise, which looks to improve the criminal justice system.
And activist/filmmaker Dream Hampton tweeted in 2015 that Jay-Z and Beyoncé paid bail for Baltimore, Md., and Ferguson, Mo., protesters, although The Guardian reported the posts were later deleted. Meek Mill also revealed “The Story of O.J.” rapper paid millions towards his release.
Regardless, Love’s response has won her lots of praise from fans.
“Let them KNOW!!! Can’t compare apples to oranges indeed! Not all good deeds are publicized or insta’d for approval!”
“And the fact that she’s plastering it all over social media is a sign that this is for her own good she will never speak to that woman again once she’s released.”
“And oddly it was done exactly the same day as the #OTRII 🤔 @KimKardashian did good but please don’t compare the unmentionable times the #Carters have done their part for this country WITHOUT all the publicity #keepitmovin @Beyonce for #PREZ 🤗😩.”
Not willing to have his intentions skewed, @Felz_ responded to Love’s post, too.
It was just a joke Loni!!!! I love The Carters!!
