Model Amber Rose drew quite the comparison between her ex-boyfriend Kanye West and the president of the United States, arguing that the two are quite similar to one another.
Rose, 34, recently sat down with Republican author Jesse Lee Peterson for his talk show “The Fallen State” where the two briefly discussed her annual “Amber Rose Slut Walk,” a women’s empowerment event aimed at ending rape culture and sexual assault.
The topic of conversation soon turned to her relationship with rapper Kanye West, who made headlines upon his return to social media last month. Peterson, who referred to Trump as the “Great White Hope,” asked the former model what she thought of her ex’s recent antics, particularity his outward support for Trump and how folks have reacted to it.
“When I first saw Trump on the podium running for president, I was like, ‘Oh, my God — that is Kanye in a white man’s body!’ ” she explained. “I really felt like they have the same personality, like, completely the same personality.”
Rose then shared her own ideas about why her ex agreed to meet with the president earlier this year.
‘I would like to think — and this is hypothetically speaking — I would like to think that Kanye met with Trump, and Trump said, ‘Look, I seen these people, I knew they were gonna vote for me, and I used them to get elected, and I can’t tell nobody that ’cause I wanna get a second term, but now that I’m in office, I really wanna make a change,” she said.
Rose added that she believed Kanye was thinking about what Trump could do for the better of the country, adding that he likely appreciated the “art” and politics with which Trump secured his spot in the White House.
“Kanye’s the type of person that he loves art, and he loves the art in things, so I think that he appreciates the politics that Trump used in order to get in office,” she said.
