Such a memorable day for Mukuta who’s a super #Batman fan! He received a phone call from @BenAffleck today. Ben Affleck facetime’d a terminally ill Batman fan from Congo. The actor also helped the child reunite with his mother.
A young boy named Mukata got to meet his favorite superhero via FaceTime. Mutaka was diagnosed with the rare Cholangiocarcinoma which is cancer of the bile duct. The Atlanta hospice where he lives, wanted him to meet Batman, so they sent out tweets searching for impersonators that can dress up as the superhero. Hospice staff was shocked when Ben Affleck, who actually portrays the character in DC films, responded and offered to video chat with the terminally ill patient.
Affleck didn’t stop there. He paid for Mukata’s mother to fly to Atlanta from the Congo to be with her son. The actor’s team told ET, “Ben wanted to do what he could to help. He wanted to make sure that they were doing what they could to help the whole family.”
The Atlanta Hospice was so grateful for Affleck’s call, they sent out a follow-up tweet that read, “Such a memorable day for Mukuta who’s a super #Batman fan! He received a phone call from @BenAffleck today.
