Fabolous’ pal Lil Mo has spoken out on his domestic violence allegations and fans have taken issue with her support for her “4Ever” collaborator. But not one to be smacked down, Mo promptly issued a response, too.
Allegations of a violent domestic dispute between Fab and longtime girlfriend Emily B emerged in late March, including an incident where he punched her several times resulting in her losing her two front teeth and him confronting Emily B, her brother and father and allegedly threatening to shoot them.
On the same day the incident happened Friday, March 30, Mo addressed the allegations with Revolt TV, saying she initially didn’t believe the story was true.
“I was just talking to him,” Mo says. “He’s good. I hit him up and said ’I love you.’ He hit me back and said ’I love you too and I appreciate you, Mo.’ I don’t know the logistics. Honestly, even though I’m a part of the culture, I don’t get involved in [gossip]. I know a lot of stuff is hype. How did they get this information? People have turned this thing from one thing to another.
“What the f— is going on?” she added before referencing the White House fixer that Kerry Washington made famous on “Scandal.” “I’m not letting him go out like that. I’ll Olivia Pope this situation before I let somebody take my brother down.”
She added that Fab likes to keep his private life private and as a Brooklyn native, “he can get live” if things get out of hand, but he typically keeps his cool.
“Something’s not adding up,” she says before questioning that the reports that Emily B and her father and brother were able to remove the guns from their New Jersey home but didn’t leave the house.
“I don’t know what’s going on, but right now, it’s not my business, it’s not my place,” she says. “My only loyalty is to him and if that is a situation, then this is gonna take some serious damage control.”
Mo, who said she’s also friends with Emily B, also wondered why they didn’t call her and later said she wouldn’t push her boxer husband so far as to put his hands on her.
However, Twitter users were not OK with the MC siding with alleged abuser Fab and they bashed her for apparent victim blaming of Emily B.
“Lil’ Mo is trash. I’m going to assume that that interview was done before the video of Fab came out. But the b—- is still trash for victim blaming,” someone tweeted. “You’re a grown ass woman & should know that you don’t know what goes on in a family when you’re not there.”
“Women like Lil Mo are really out here insinuating that Emily provoked Fab to hit her,” another said. “Y’all are trash.”
“Lil Mo trash,” a separate user said. “A grown ass woman victim blaming.”
“Lil Mo is a damn idiot,” someone else said. “She can’t even pull together a coherent defense for Fabolous pathetic ass.”
“Who asked Lil Mo her opinion?” another wondered. “Omgggg people sound terrible when talking about this Emily and Fabolous situation.”
Lil Mo, however, didn’t take kindly to the criticism and hit back on Tuesday, April 3 before addressing it again a day later.
