NBA star Damian Lillard’s 20-year-old half brother Jahrell Lillard was shot multiple times in Oregon on Thursday (March 29) and is now being treated in the hospital.
As TMZ reports, Jahrell was shot by two men in a parking lot, and police believe it was a setup. Witnesses who were close to the scene said they heard several shots in the area, and a lot of people were nearby.
“We heard 10 to 12 shots,” said Khristine Snyder, one of the witnesses. “They were very quick and very loud.”
After the men committed the heinous act, Jahrell ran into a Macy’s Home Furnishing store where he collapsed slightly beyond the doorway. The gunmen fled the scene and have yet to be found.
Jahrell underwent surgery and is expected to survive. So far Damian hasn’t commented on his brother’s shooting but some people went on his Instagram page to lend their support and send well wishes.
“Prayers to your bro,” one person wrote. “Hope Jahrell’s okay,” wrote another.
