The conversation of diversity in film has been ramping up for years and “Black Panther” star Michael B. Jordan wants to do his part to give non-white cast and crew a fair shot.

Jordan announced on Instagram Thursday, March 7 that he would incorporate an inclusion rider in all the projects he launches through his production company, Outlier Society. The document allows actors and actresses to stipulate that their movies include diverse cast and crew members.

“In support of the women and men who are leading this fight, I will be adopting the Inclusion Rider for all projects produced by my company Outlier Society,” Jordan said in the post, which included a photo of himself with two Outlier personnel. “I’ve been privileged to work with powerful woman & persons of color throughout my career & it’s Outlier’s mission to continue to create for talented individuals going forward.”

The idea of an inclusion rider sprung into the forefront when “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” actress  Frances McDormand mentioned it during her Best Actress acceptance speech at the Oscars.

“I have two words to leave with you tonight, ladies and gentlemen: inclusion rider,” she said.

Still, Jordan’s public vow that he will incorporate the document in his productions meant he became that much more attractive to fans.
