T.I. Lands New Gig With Houston’s Restaurant As Business Prepares to Close

T.I. has lifted the boycott on Houston’s restaurant after meeting with leaders of the establishment.  Last year, Houston’s had several situations where Black patrons claimed they experienced racial discrimination which led to the boycott in October. Since the incident, the rapper said he has had several meetings with the corporation.

He has also agreed to help the restaurant with diversity training to ensure racial discrimination doesn’t happen again. “They..invested in some diversity training for their.. executive staff. They suggested .. I remain apart to make sure the training can meet the needs of the community (Black community),” the Grammy winner confirmed.

T.I. said he was able to get his “needs met” and the corporation is looking forward to a partnership with the rapper. He also took to IG to thank all the supporters.

Yet Houston’s restaurant confirmed Monday that it will be closing the Lenox location on Saturday, March 31. A spokesperson said the decision to close the business had nothing to do with the boycott.
