Trevor Noah Shares the Real Reason Why Stacey Dash Is Running for Congress

Tuesday evening on “The Daily Show With Trevor Noah” the comedian took a jab at “Clueless” actress Stacey Dash after announcing she’s running for Congress.

Dash filed paperwork Monday (Feb. 26) to run for the 44th congressional district in California which is represented by Democrat Nanette Barragán. The district includes cities Watts, San Pedro, North Long Beach, and Compton which is a predominately Black area.

However, Noah called out the actress and suggested that her running is a “publicity stunt” and that she’s doing it “just for the fame”.

“She’s running as a Republican in Compton and Watts?”, Noah asked “Stacey isn’t running because she actually expects to win, we know this is a publicity stunt to raise her profile for her next job which I’m guessing is going to be “Big Brother.”

Dash who’s also a former Fox commentator is known for her controversial statements about the Black community, insisting that there’s no need for things like BET, the NAACP, or a Black History Month. The comedian commented, “Good Lord… Forget Congress, Stacey Dash should run for president of The Sunken Place.”

Noah continued. “I don’t even blame her… Because running just to become more famous actually works. The only time it didn’t work was when Donald Trump did it, but then he won by accident. Yeah, he’s that bad or that good.”
