On Wednesday, Feb. 21, on the heels of President Donald Trump saying he’s considering arming some teachers to halt gun violence, T.I. told TMZ that there should be regulations in place to prohibit certain people from obtaining guns.
“I think you should probably make it more difficult for people who aren’t mentally stable to have guns,” he says.
Still, he added, “if you lose the right to bear arms as a citizen it’s easy for the government to enslave people.”
“I think mental stabilization needs to be a big part of — I think, just not being a felon isn’t enough,” he a continues. “People think that the felons are the ones that’s causing all of the problems but it seems as though people who have been getting gun licenses … those are the ones who have been causing all of the mass hysteria. So I think that our system is broken.”
