An actress is suing Omar Epps over an improvised scene where he ended up breaking her arm.
In May 2016, Donzaleigh Abernathy said she was shooting a scene with Epps for USA Network’s “Shooter” when he “completely deviated from the script,” according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ Thursday, Feb. 15.
“The moment called for Epp’s character, Issac Johnson, to murder Abernathy’s character, Susan Fern, who was considered a loose end in the murder of her son, Donny Fern.
He “threw his left forearm with full force at [her] right arm” resulting in a fracture, according to documents.
In addition to a broken arm, Epps allegedly dropped Abernathy hard on the floor, injuring her back. She was purportedly rushed to the hospital following halted production.
Abernathy, 59, alleges Epps, 44, acted recklessly and negligently during the scene and she’s suing him and Paramount Pictures for negligence along with assault and battery.
The actress /activist wants damages for pain and suffering and coverage for all current and future medical costs.
