If you were hoping for more exploration of the Sunken Place from the smash 2017 film “Get Out,” then Jordan Peele may have you covered. The Oscar-nominated director said he’ll “definitely seriously consider” doing a follow-up to his critically acclaimed racial satire.
“I love that universe and I feel like there is more story to tell,” he tells The Hollywood Reporter during Nominees Night Monday, Feb. 5. “I don’t know what it is now, but there are some loose ends.”
“Get Out” follows a Black man encountering some mind-altering circumstances after he visits the home of his white girlfriend to meet her parents. Its take on the perception of race led it to be nominated for a Golden Globe, albeit in the Comedy or Musical category, and it’s secured a Best Picture Oscar nomination.
Still, fans are split on their readiness to see a part two.
