13-year-old ‘Black-ish’ star Marsai Martin will star in and executive produce an upcoming film titled ‘Little’. The film is based on a woman who gets the chance to relive her carefree youth when being an adult starts to overwhelm her.
Martin pitched the idea and will be working alongside ‘Drumline’ writer Tina Gordon Chism, screenwriter of ‘Girls Trip’ Tracy Oliver, and ‘Black-ish’ creator Kenya Barris. Actress Regina Hall will be executive producing the film as well.
Jordan Peele reached out to Marsai Martin on Twitter to give her props for her first studio feature. Martin thanked him but didn’t miss an opportunity to propose another film idea and Peele was intrigued.
