Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga’s Divorce Leads to Bitter Battle
Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga called off their 10-year engagement after never making it down the aisle. The split has led to a nasty custody battle, with Otunga ultimately winning temporary custody of 8-year-old David Jr. Since then, a judge has placed a gag order on the case.

Jill Scott and Mike Dobson’s Quick Marriage and Swift Split
Jill Scott and Mike Dobson married in a surprise summer 2016 ceremony, which mirrored her divorce filing from Dobson this fall. She cited irreconcilable differences and Dobson quickly went in on her “issues.” Scott later got a restraining order against him and he filed a response to it also vowing to no longer publicly speak negatively about Scott.

This ’90s R&B quartet made a comeback at the 2017 BET Awards this year. But the road to the show was unsteady, as showcased in the group’s Bravo reality show “Still Kickin’ It.” A bomb was dropped later when Kandi revealed she won’t join Tiny, LaTocha and Tamika, on a new album.

Tamar Braxton and Vincent Herbert’s Tumultuous Divorce
After lots of rumors over the years that their marriage was in trouble, Tamar Braxton filed for divorce from Vincent Herbert in October. The couple, who were married for nine years, shared one son. Despite Herbert’s legal woes and the spouses’ clashes on their reality show, “Tamar & Vince,” the split stunned some who thought they’d weather the storm.

Nipsey Hussle and Lauren London Split But He May Want that Old Thang Back
Twitter users were alarmed when rapper Nipsey Hussle tweeted that he and actress Lauren London were no longer an item. He described the split as a “mutual choice” between the couple, who share a 1-year-old son as a unit. But they may not be over for good. Nipsey described London as a “TRU friend and a TRU love” in an Instagram birthday wish.

LeBron James Left Stunned When Kyrie Irving Says Bye to Cavaliers
Kyrie Irving’s August trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Boston Celtics admittedly left his former teammate LeBron James “shocked.” A month after the trade, which Irving requested in July, the two hadn’t spoken about what happened — and Irving, who has fared well since joining the Celtics, wouldn’t let on about his thoughts on James’ reaction.

Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill: Two Rappers Who Called It a Wrap
After two years together, Nicki Minaj confirmed in a succinct January tweet that she was single and “focusing on my work.” She has since moved on to date rapper Nas and when asked about their relationship, Meek Mill said “it was a win” to nab the voluptuous female MC.

Jesse Williams and Ayrn Drake-Lee’s Bitter Divorce
Jesse Williams was with his wife Ayrn Drake-Lee for 13 years before the two split and a nasty custody battle ensued. Rumors swirled that he cheated on Drake-Lee with actress Minka Kelly, which she and Williams have slammed.

Laurence Fishburne and Gina Torres Announce Split a Year Late
After Gina Torress was photographed smooching another man, the actress released a statement saying she and her husband of 15 years, Laurence Fishburne, split last fall. The news, however, did not become public until September. “There are no bad guys here,” she said. “Only a love story with a different ending than either one of us had expected.”
Dwyane Wade Leaves Chicago Bulls
Dwyane Wade’s time with the Chicago Bulls ended after one season when the team reached a $23.8 million buyout agreement. But he wasn’t a free agent for long. Wade, who previously spent 13 seasons with the Miami Heat, signed a one-year deal to join LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers shortly after.
