Tomi Lahren has an answer for those who took issue with her American flag costume. The conservative commentator proudly showed off her “American AF” getup on Instagram over the weekend, which included an American flag as a cape and a body suit that said, “Make America Great Again.”

Judging by her caption, Lahren knew she was about to face some criticism.

“Oh L.A. get ready to find your safe spaces!” she wrote Saturday, Oct. 28. “What am I? Well if you’re a conservative, I’m American AF [as f—]. If you’re a lib, I’m ‘offensive.’ Let’s go.”

It didn’t take long for commenters to respond to the ensemble. Many cited the portion of the flag code that says, “No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform.”

Lahren, who once slammed protesting NFL players for apparently defending “the hatred of America, the disrespect of our country, our flag and our patriotism,” tweeted this in response to her critics.

The paragraph, which was pulled from an answer on wartime veteran’s service organization website The American Legion, did little to silence those opposing her.

Meanwhile, Lahren also retweeted a post about sports and political commentator Keith Olbermann wearing the American flag on the cover of his book, “Trump Is F—ing Crazy.”
