Torrei Hart Plays Coy In New Interview Over Kevin Hart’s Cheating Scandal

Months after Torrei Hart revealed she was the breadwinner when she and Kevin Hart got married in 2003, she’s spilling some more tea about their relationship.

“Lies and infidelity,” the comedian’s college sweetheart told “Inside Edition” Monday of what led to the end of their eight-year marriage. “When I met him, he was selling sneakers. He’s starting to get fame and I’m feeling like, OK, well, feeling a little left behind. We grew apart.”

As he shot to stardom by making light of his cheating in standup routines, Torrei says she had to endure that “for years.”

Something else she had to endure recently was Kevin’s new wife, Eniko Parrish, engaging in a war of words with her on Instagram. The two got into it over Parrish’s role in breaking up the Harts’ marriage. Parrish maintained she did no such thing, whereupon a fan called out Parrish’s post saying she has been with Hart for eight years.

“I was like, ‘What? Never a secret?'” Torrei recalls. “She said we were separated, not living together. That’s a lie. We were very much not separated.”

Kevin has indirectly copped to cheating on Parrish, who currently is pregnant, by issuing an apologetic Instagram video. The FBI is investigating a failed extortion attempt that demanded $10 million from Kevin to suppress a sexually suggestive tape that supposedly depicts Hart cheating on Parrish. The extortionist, however, leaked the tape Monday. Since the hoopla, HollywoodLife.com reported Torrei is feeling “vindicated.”

“Life is looking good for Torrei right now,” a source told the website. “She’s been able to stay out of the mess surrounding Kevin and Eniko. She definitely feels a little vindicated. Karma is definitely a b—-, and it’s all unfolding right now. Especially with Eniko stirring up trouble with her comments recently.

“Torrei’s not going to say it right now, but she was right all along. Look, everyone makes mistakes, so Torrei isn’t going to put gasoline on this fire. She’s focusing on her hair-care business, her upcoming book and her career, which is blowing up!”

Torrei has long been open about her ex-husband stepping out on her. In 2014, she told Entertainment Tonight that Parrish is responsible for the demise of their union.

“I never lashed out, I never tried to punch her in the face even though I’ve had moments where — trust and believe — I wanted to K.O. her ass,” Torrei said. “It does hurt that my kids have to be around a woman who broke up a marriage.”

Still, she’s not weighing in too heavily on the comic’s latest cheating scandal.

“All I can say is that, if it happened to me, it can happen to anyone,” Torrei said to “Inside Edition.”
