Is it up to Black women to solve racism and prejudice? Singer K. Michelle must think so, since she spurred a discussion on the matter by pointing out that negative social media comments toward her come from her fellow sisters.
When I look at negative comments from people that don't know me the only bad comments are from Black Women? Thoughts?

I truly often go out of my way to support African American females. I'm in these executive meetings screaming MORE women of color!

Immediately fans began to weigh in on the matter.
Some boiled it down to statistics. Having mostly Black women as fans means when negativity comes, it’ll likely come from that group.

I just know how my race is….We are the most jealous group of people……

Majority of your base is black women, so statistically those are the one’s making the neg comments as well as giving you major support 🤔🤔

Others’ feelings were more in the line of “Nah, sis” and those people went in on her hypocrisy. One referenced K unleashing on “The Real” co-host Loni Love when the comedian discussed the singer’s rocky interview with Angela Yee.
Don’t you do the same thing🤔 to other black women? Speacially @ the shade room. Thoughts?

The “Not A Little Bit” singer responded only moments later.
I NEVER ever come for anyone FIRST. Half the time i'm in another world. But when I defend myself i'm such an awful person and villain.

Still, K. Michelle had some folks who backed her up.
I totally agree! It’s disheartening that WE emulate the degradation that we were/have been victim to for centuries #WeMustDoBetter

But then came a particularly baffling remark from the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” alumnus …
Yes. But we complain about how wrong other ethnicities are treating us. https://t.co/hHizN5F0Xx
— K. Michelle (@kmichelle) August 10, 2017
How can one complain of racial profiling and discrimination when we R just as guilty of the same crimes towards each other? We make it easy
— K. Michelle (@kmichelle) August 10, 2017
… which this fan wasn’t vibing with.
🤔 Nah K. It's not the same! https://t.co/kUsPc3pWqW

However, K. wasn’t changing her tune, at least not completely.
I respect your opinion. I agree partially. The way that we are being gunned down is awful. I'm saying we need each other now more than ever https://t.co/uguRXKh3Mb
