Russell Wilson’s sweet Mother’s Day ode to wife Ciara was met with anger from some since the Seattle Seahawks quarterback referred to his stepson and newborn daughter as “our kids.”
Wilson and Ciara welcomed their first daughter Sienna Princess Wilson in April and Wilson has been hands-on with Ciara’s 2-year-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn, whose father is rapper Future.
On Sunday, May 14, Wilson applauded Ciara’s mothering skills saying, “You are an amazing mom and I’m so grateful I get to spend the rest of my life with you and raising our kids.”
Many responded by claiming Wilson, who wed Ciara in July, was disrespecting Future by referring to Future Zahir as his own.
Others praised Wilson for taking responsibility for Ciara’s first-born child.
