Ciara is a married woman. The R&B singer wed NFL quarterback Russell Wilson June 6 in a ceremony that included some famous friends. The pair had been engaged since March after dating for a little more than a year. The pair famously vowed to remain celibate before tying the knot. Now, the wait is over.
The singer’s representatives confirmed the news to People magazine, which reported Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Rowland and La La Anthony were in attendance at the wedding at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England. Rumors swirled that the nuptials would happen Wednesday after the duo was spotted at a rehearsal dinner Tuesday at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool.
Hudson had also tipped off fans about the impending ceremony. She shared several shots posing in a Christian Siriano gown – including an image of her fiancé David Otunga and their son David Jr. – and revealed she was in the United Kingdom.

Ci-ci shared her excitement on Twitter after she and Wilson jumped the broom, confirming speculation that day. The bride donned a custom-made embroidered Cavalli Couture gown. Floral details and glass beading adorned the dress and it was covered completely with Chantilly lace appliqué. The groom wore a tuxedo by Giorgio Armani.

The Seattle Seahawks footballer also shared the image on his Instagram page.
According to Us Weekly, 100 guests attended the ceremony and TMZ reported cell phones were not allowed inside. The couple banned all devices and social media posts. The move was likely to prevent the news from leaking online the way Singer Jill Scott’s nuptials were exposed on Instagram last week.
This is the second wedding for Wilson. He was previously married to his high school sweetheart Ashton Meem for two years. Ciara had been engaged to rapper Future before breaking up in 2014. The couple welcomed son Future Zahir before calling off their romance.
