As Ciara poses happily with her husband, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, son Future Zahir and her growing baby bump, some feel the family photo op is “disrespectful” to her rapper ex-fiancé.
The singer posed in a series of belly-baring photos for Harper’s Bazaar that accompanied an article where she opened up about how pleased she is to have found Wilson, whom she married last summer. After describing her relationship with 2-year-old Future’s stepfather as “amazing” and “awesome,” Ci-Ci, who is pregnant with their first child together, told the magazine he is her “champion.”
“If someone’s not supporting you and your vision and your dreams — whether it’s your relationship partner, your friend, whomever — then you’ve got to make sure to keep it moving,” she said of her outlook on companionship. “If people aren’t lifting you up, even if you’re the strongest person in the world, eventually it does chip away at you. You don’t even realize that you’re losing yourself. And that’s the scariest place to be in life. I don’t want to lose myself,” she said. “I love myself too much. I love life too much.”

Many online praised the photo spread and lauded the family’s apparent closeness, including baby Future’s excitement to become a big brother.
“He’ll randomly pull my shirt up and be like, ‘I want to see the baby,'” Ciara said. “‘Hello, baby. How you doing, baby? I love you, baby. Okay, talk to you later, baby. Bye, bye.’ Then he’ll kiss me on my belly and put my shirt back down.”
