Trevor Noah Grills Tomi Lahren About Her Racist Rhetoric, She Embarrasses Herself With Tired Responses

On the Nov. 30 edition of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” host Trevor Noah and guest Tomi Lahren, host of “The Blaze,”‘ traded barbs over the Black Lives Matter movement and San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest.

After gaining Internet fame for her fiery commentary on race, Lahren has become a new face for the Right. The conservative commentator has been critical of BLM because she claims the activist movement promotes violence against police. Additionally, she has criticized Kaepernick for complaining about racial injustices while making millions as a QB.

Noah asked the conservative commentator on Wednesday night’s broadcast about her “incendiary” statements on the two movements gripping the nation. In the clip above, Lahren insists that she does not see race and that her criticism of BLM does not make her a racist.

“True diversity is diversity of thought, not diversity of color,” she proclaims. “I don’t see color.” She attempts to clarify her statement by saying that she goes after former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and “she’s as white as they come.”

“What do you do at a traffic light?” Noah asks. “There’s nothing wrong with seeing color. It is how you treat color that is more important.”

At the end of the clip, Lahren says that BLM activists have actively hunted down white people just like the KKK. Noah then points out that her allegations minimize the terror the KKK committed on Black people. But Lahren remains adamant.

“When that now becomes the narrative and you’re starting to loot, burn and riot … What did the KKK do?” Lahren says.

“Did you say, ‘What did the KKK do?’” Noah replies. “Wow.”

Noah and Lahren then spar over Kaepernick, with the conservative commentator saying that Kaepnernick is openly disrespecting the flag and to her the flag means patriotism.

“So, because I don’t disagree with what he did, I should shut up,” Lahren says. “Because I’m white, so I should shut up? I shouldn’t be able to talk about Black issues ’cause I’m white?”

Noah then acknowledges that conservatives have won and asks her how Black people should protest, since she disagrees with our current methods. Lahren, however, continues to skirt the issue and instead brings up race.

“No one brought up whites at all. I never said that,” Noah responds jokingly. “I don’t see color. I don’t know these answers apart from these methods. How [should Black people protest]?”

For the remainder of the clip, Lahren does not offer concrete alternatives.
