On Thursday, Sept. 29, Atlanta rapper Ludacris visited the Atlanta Community Food Bank to teach youngsters the value of healthy eating and growing their own food.
In the clip, the rapper touts his Ludacris Foundation while helping some kids make healthy wraps for easy and nutritious snacks. He adds that his foundation does the most work in his hometown and the food bank is just 15 minutes away from his home. Furthermore, Ludacris aims to serve children considered to be underprivileged through the philanthropic efforts of his organization.
“One of the principles of my foundation is called healthy lifestyles,” he starts. “It is hunger action month and my birthday month as well. Instead of receiving gifts, I would like to give a gift back. And this is my way of giving back … There are so many negative things going around in the world. I like to be part of the positive.”
He also says he is amazed that media members came to his event.
“… Media usually only show up for the negative things.”
