Black Twitter let out a collective “nope” directed at actress Nancy Lee Grahn Sunday night.

On the historic night where many on social media were celebrating Viola Davis becoming the first Black woman to win Best Lead Actress for a Drama series, others sought to derail the achievement.

On her social media account, soap opera actress, Nancy Lee Grahn, posted in a since deleted tweet:

The actress then tweeted:

It wasn’t before long until Black twitter saw the #AllLivesMatter reminiscent tweets. Users dragged Grahn until she eventually apologized for her offensive tweets. She issued the following apology.

I learned a lot tonight and I admit that there are still some things I don’t understand but I am trying to and will let this be a learning experience for me.

And the best one of all.

Stay in your lane, Nancy.
