On Average, It’s Not That Much
According to The New York Times, the average athletic scholarship accounts for $10,409. The average NCAA athletic scholarship, excluding power sports like football and basketball, is $8,707. For sports like baseball or track, the average is around $2,000.
Some Scholarships Are Chopped
The NCAA decides how many scholarships each sport can offer in Division I and II. Coaches, however, can split up the scholarships and offer partial awards in order to attract more players.
