Common has one of rap’s most anticipated albums of 2014, and if his new single is any indication, then fans will be treated to another classic Common album. One day after dropping a trailer, the Chicago rapper released the full version of his new song “Kingdom.” As reported by rap-up.com:
“Chi-town stand up. A day after dropping the video trailer, Common spreads the gospel of the streets on ‘Kingdom,’ the first single off his upcoming album ‘Nobody’s Smiling.’ The Chicago MC addresses the violence in his hometown on the rousing song, which features a verse from Vince Staples and a church choir.
“’Shots ripping through his True Religion denim / These streets was my religion,’ he raps.”
“Nobody’s Smiling” is scheduled to be released later this year. Fans can also look forward to a Hype Williams video to serve as the visuals for “Kingdom.”
