After spending the weekend in a Los Angeles jail, Chris Brown is back in court where a judge will determine whether the singer deserves any additional penalties for his dismissal from rehab.
A judge issued a warrant for Brown’s arrest on Friday that specifically said the R&B bad boy could not post bail.
The warrant said that the “Fine China” crooner was arrested for “failure to comply with rules and regulations of the program.”
No specifics have been released about what Brown did to violate those terms.
According to the Associated Press, Brown was discharged from the Malibu rehab facility and could face more time behinds bars for violating probation.
To make matters worse, Brown still has another case pending regarding an alleged assault that happened when he was performing in Washington, D.C.
The victim, who suffered from a broken nose, said that the R&B star punched him in the face after he wanted to take a picture with him.
Other witnesses, however, insist that it was Brown’s bodyguard who punched the man and not Brown himself.
The arrest this weekend came as a surprise for some fans who had been following Brown’s improvement over the past few months.
The judge, who refused a prosecutor’s request to send the singer to jail back in February on misdemeanor assault charges, claimed that Brown seemed to be doing very well in rehab.
His probation officer also gave him a positive report and told the judge that Brown was going above and beyond the standards necessary to meet the terms of his stay in the facility.
Even a report from the rehab facility praised Brown for his positive attitude and commitment to community service.
“We have worked with many privileged young people over the past decade and our clinical team agrees that Mr. Brown’s attitude has been beyond exemplary in regard to his community service responsibilities,” the report from early March said.
The arrest also comes shortly after the rehab facility said they believe Brown is suffering from bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
It is unclear how the facility’s diagnosis of the star will impact the judge’s decision regarding further punishment.
