Haitian President Michel Martelly will meet his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama at the White House on Thursday, Feb. 6. In addition, the President of the Republic will be received at “Capitol Hill” where he will address the American senators and deputies.
This meeting between the two heads of state coincides with the National Prayer Breakfast. President Martelly will also speak at Howard University.
In addition, President Martelly will hold talks with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and will participate in a dinner at the Smithsonian Museum, along with the highest political personalities political, diplomatic, of business world as well as celebrities and media bosses.
In recent months, Martelly and U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden exchanged on several occasions on the Haitian conjuncture and the efforts made by those in power to ensure political stability, institutional strengthening, economic growth and improvement of living conditions of the Haitian people.
