Usher is one of the most beloved artists of his generation, so it is no surprise that fans are always seemingly eager for new music. The R&B star may be giving fans exactly what they want soon, as he’s promising he will be releasing new music in the new year. As reported by mtv.com:
“While 2013 has been a busy year for Usher, with a coaching spot on “The Voice” and an upcoming movie, “Hands of Stone,” one thing has been missing from the R&B star: new music.
“[You’re] going to hear some new music at the top of the year,” Usher told MTV News on the purple carpet of his protégé Justin Bieber’s documentary “Believe.”
“Not much is known about the upcoming music. But the “Climax” singer, who admitted that he’s “in the studio working right now” on the follow-up to his 2012 effort, “Looking 4 Myself,” has posted on Instagram several photos of himself throughout the year, including shots of himself in the studio with Pharrell and T.I.”
The year 2013 found Usher more focused on acting for the “Sugar Ray Leonard” film and hosting music show “The Voice”. Usher will be returning to “The Voice” in 2014, but he’s finished with the movie project saying;
“You guys have probably been following me on Instagram so you see my Afro and my six-pack,” he said. “So I’m getting out of Sugar Ray Leonard mode and into Usher Ray mode.”
