Somewhere in between her relationships with singer-songwriter Wyclef Jean and Reggae icon Bob Marley’s son Rohan Marley, Cee Lo Green tried to become romantically involved with songstress Lauryn Hill in the 1990s.
The Goodie Mob star reportedly said he wanted to make the Fugees singer his wife, saying she was made “just for me.” The two struck up a friendship but they didn’t take their relationship to the next level, which may be partly due to Hill’s subsequent marriage to Marley.
However, Green remained friends with Hill and in his book, “Everybody’s Brother” he wrote: “We still got to have a great friendship that ended up making a big difference in my life.”
