Searching For Perfection: Rick Ross Explains Delay of ‘Mastermind’ Album

Rick Ross‘ fans were anticipating getting a new album this December, however the Maybach Music boss has decided to delay the album until 2014 as he puts the finishing touches on the album to make sure it’s a “classic.” As reported by hiphopwired.com:

“In 12 days time, Rick Ross was scheduled to release his sixth studio album Mastermind. But this changes with the Maybach Music Group’s founder most recent announcement.

Ross called into Hip-Hop Nation’s Hoodrich Radio to speak with host and MMG affiliate, DJ Scream. The rapper let the cat out of the bag after speaking on his latest signees, Tracy T and Fat Trel, and the first film out of his camp.

‘I’m still putting final touches on the album, man,’ Ross explained. ‘Making that classic is more important than anything. Making sure the streets are overwhelmed by what I’m doing is what’s most important. I’m gonna try to get it to you, and if I don’t, I’mma get it to you ASAP.”‘

To hold fans over, Ross dropped a remix to his lead single “No Games” which features Meek Mill and Wale.

Check out Rick Ross’ interview below and stay tuned for the official release date of the Mastermind album.
