The defensive play of the game went to Wall, who with about 28 seconds remaining in regulation and with 98-89 lead over the Knicks, denied Iman Shumpert’s layup with a vicious block.
On offense, Wall was even more relentless, scoring 37 points on 15-of-21 shooting.
“I was able to knock down shots, but it doesn’t mean anything if you don’t come away with a win,” Wall said.
Wall registered 30 or more points in consecutive games for the first time in his NBA career, after scoring 37 in Toronto on Friday. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 draft also had seven assists.
