Restoring The Feeling: Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, Kanye West And Lil Wayne Drop “Thank You” Video

Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip definitely present a euphoric visual for their new song “Thank You” which also features Kanye West and Lil Wayne.  The Lil X video delivers all the regular elements of a rap video:  scantily clad women, expensive jewelry and executive planes, but thanks to director Lil X, the video is presented in a cool split screen manner. According to pitchfork.com:

“Busta Rhymes’ “Thank You” has a pretty strong list of featured guests: Kanye West, Q-Tip, and Lil Wayne. That track now has a video featuring all four rappers—although Kanye and Wayne never appear in the same frame—along with cameos from A$AP Ferg, A$AP Nast, and teenage actor-turned-adult-rapper Tristan Wilds (aka Mack Wilds).”

The split screen element to the “Thank You” video is a great backdrop to Busta and Q-Tip’s smooth rhymes over a soulful beat. As reported by hiphopwired.com:

“Now, this adds to the song’s allure like a video should. The entire crew is present, including Yeezy and Tunechi, who only have speaking parts. Without any unnecessary theatrics, Bussa Buss and Tip get busy over the classic 1981 Alicia Myers tune ‘I Want To Thank You.'”

Busta Rhymes is expected to drop his new album Extinction Level Event 2 early in 2014 and “Thank You” will be on the album. Busta and Q-Tip are also scheduled to drop their The Dragon and The Abstract mixtape  on December 12.
