Atlanta rapper Jeezy is known for keeping things real, and he’s sticking to that MO as he airs his frustrations with his record label Def Jam. Jeezy, who recently dropped the “Young” from his name, released his new record “Foul Play” from his upcoming mixtape and it deals with the delays of his upcoming album. According to vibe.com:
“Jeezy has a bone to pick with Def Jam Records and aired out his grievances on his timeline. It seems the Atlanta rapper is fed up with the extended deadline, revealing he’s been hard at work on the album for two years and leaked the Drumma Boy-produced “Foul Play” off his forthcoming #ItsThaWorld Vol.2 mixtape on Wednesday, Nov. 27. And if the CTE leader has things his way, the album will be in your hands by Christmas.”
Jeezy released a series of passionate tweets to Def Jam stating that he’s been working hard on the album for two years, and that his fans deserve to hear his music.
““N*ggas @ @DefJamRecords keep playing games if you want!” tweeted Jeezy. “If Def Jam don’t get this right y’all got an early xmas gift #myfans.”
Hopefully both sides can get together and figure out a solution that gets the next Jeezy album into the hands of fans as soon as possible.
In the meantime, check out Jeezy s “Foul Play.”
