Eminem and Rihanna are two of the biggest names in music, and the duo are collaborating again on Slim Shady’s new album. Eminem premiered his new single “Monster” featuring Rih-Rih and it sounds like another hit.
According to billboard.com:
“While Eminem raps about his ‘Monster’ haunting him, Rihanna embraces hers. The singer flexes her vocal skills on the hook to Em’s latest: ‘I’m friends with the monster that’s under my bed/ Get along with the voices inside of my head/ You’re trying to save me/ Stop holding your breath/ And you think I’m crazy/ Yeah, you think I’m crazy/ Well that’s not fair.’
“The duo’s chemistry is undeniable. Prior to ‘Monster,’ Rihanna was featured on Eminem’s 2010 hit, ‘Love the Way You Lie’ and Em, in turn, appeared on ‘Part II’ of the song (‘Love the Way You Lie (Part II)’) featured on Rihanna’s ‘Loud’ album.”
“Monster” sounds like an old school rap song as it blends genres with Eminem’s rap vocals, rock guitars, and Rihanna’s pop-style singing of the chorus.
“Monster” is from Eminem’s new album The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which is being produced by Rick Rubin and Dr. Dre and is scheduled to released next week.
