Last month Alicia Keys and husband Swizz Beatz were caught up in an unusual story about the couple partying in the wrong home in the New York Hamptons. According to the initial reports by New York Post‘s Page Six, Keys and Beatz arrived late in the evening with several other people and began partying in the kitchen of the home. The owner of the property woke up from the commotion and found the celebrity couple in her kitchen. It appears all parties laughed it off.
Now for the first time, Keys is explaining her side of the story.
“We were going to a friend’s house so we put the address into navigation,” Keys recalled to omg! Insider Kevin Frazier. “The friend had mentioned that it was going to be very late so she left us a way to get in. It just so happened it was the same thing [at this other house]. We went in there and she described exactly what it ended up being, dogs barking and [having to] find a room.”
Keys added, “We realized we were at the wrong place when the woman came out and said, ‘I don’t who you are or what you’re doing and why you’re here.’ It was really an honest mistake!”
