Arsenio Hall’s new show debuted last week to great ratings, and like most late night talk shows, he attracts top notch talent.
The most talked-about artist in rap, Kendrick Lamar, joined the show on Tuesday night, performed “M.A.A.D. City” and then sat down with Arsenio for an interview.
After his remarks, Kendrick went back to the stage joining his fellow TDE Music rapper Schoolboy Q to close out the show with a performance of their hit single “Collard Greens.”
According to rolling stone.com:
“Lamar took the stage to perform ‘Collard Greens’ with Schoolboy Q. The Compton MC hung back near the drums, dancing and mouthing along to the words while Schoolboy opened the song off his upcoming album Oxymoron. When Lamar’s turn came, he commanded the stage with his rapid-fire verses while Schoolboy looked on, moving to the beat.”
Kendrick and Schoolboy have been promoting the single heavily this week. Just a day before The Arsenio Hall Show, the TDE duo performed “Collard Greens” in from of a New York City crowd. Schoolboy Q’s new album Oxymoron is set to be released sometime later this year, but there’s currently no official date.
