Trippin’: ScHoolboy Q ‘Collard Greens’ Video Featuring Kendrick Lamar

West coast rapper ScHoolboy Q released a new video for his song, “Collard Greens” featuring Kendrick Lamar. “Collard Greens,” which is a metaphor for smoking marijuana, is the first single from ScHoolboy’s upcoming album. The video is a great representation of that metaphor, as the visuals are filtered using a kaleidoscope effect. According to spin.com:

“Collard Greens,” the first single L.A. rapper ScHoolboy Q’s upcoming album, is a song about (surprise!) smoking weed. So the video is exactly as trippy as you would expect, with Q’s disembodied head forming a kaleidescope pattern in pitched-up contrast, alongside shots of him and collaborator Kendrick Lamar partying with a bunch of people. Also Macklemore. Macklemore (who collaborated with ScHoolboy on “White Walls”) is just in the corner of the party looking goofy as hell.”

ScHoolboy looks to follow the success of his fellow west coast brethren Kendrick Lamar.

Check out the video and tell us what you think.
